At Cornwall Executive English, we realise that the formal tuition is very intensive, and we recognise the importance therefore of sport and social activities for our clients.
A selection on offer:
- Jogging and walking: both possible, directly from our house. The South West Coastal path is within 200 metres of our door, and clients can enjoy the wonderful scenery of the estuary and the Atlantic Coast.
- Cycling: clients can use one of our bicycles to go cycling on the Camel Trail - follow the estuary from Padstow to Wadebridge and beyond by bicycle.
- Golf: we can arrange for clients to play golf in their spare time (Wednesday afternoons or at the weekend)
- Sea Fishing: weather permitting, we can arrange for sea fishing trips, either on our own boat or on one of the boats in the harbour
- Surfing: the beaches of North Cornwall are world-famous for surfing (depending on weather and tide). Arrangements can be made for surfing and/or surfing lessons
- Prideaux Place: visit Padstow's own historic house, home of the Prideaux-Brune family since 1594, and featured in many of the Rosamunde Pilcher television series.
- Cinema: we arrange a visit to a local cinema to see a film of your choice
- Padstow Museum: a small but very interesting museum of the history of our town and fishing port
- The Lobster Hatchery: an insight into the conservation work with lobsters in the estuary
- Award-winning Camel Valley Vineyard: just up the river Camel from Padstow, a vineyard specialising in sparkling wine and white wine
Further away from Padstow, but possible over a weekend:
- The Eden Project - Cornwall's newest attraction. A world-class visitor destination designed to celebrate, study and promote an understanding of the complex and critical relationship between people, plants and resources
- Lanhydrock House - a wonderful glimpse into the life of a Victorian country house
